CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION ND. 8311
CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE ALAMEDA UNIFIED
SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the following described real property, located in the City cf Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California
WHEREAS, certain real property situate in the City cf Alameda, County of Alameda, State
of California, and more particularly described as follows:
Assessor's Block No. AB 163/10, and commonly designated
as 2220 Alameda Avenue, Alameda, California (Tax Bill
No. 4827 (1974-75)
has been assessed heretofore for City purposes for the fiscal year 1974-75, and taxes levied thereon
in the total sum of $211,36 are uncollected and unpaid, except the sum heretofore paid of 587.78,
leaving a net sum of 8123.58 uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said taxes became a lien on said real property, it was, by Grant
Deed, recorded on December 5, 1974, in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County, Reel
3827, Image 645, Recorder's No. 74-153635, acquired and ever since has been and now is owned by the
Alameda Unified School District of Alameda County, to be used for public purposes, and because of
such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, with the written
consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes charged or levied for city
purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with penalties and costs thereof, be, and the same
are hereby, cancelled, and the Auditor and Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized
and directed to cancel the same on their respective books.
I, Carter J. Stroud, City Attorney of the City cf Alameda, State of California, do hereby
consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessments, and penalties and costs
thereof, charged or levied for City purposes uPen the parcel of real property described in the within
Resolution.
