APPOINTING THOSE NOMINATED AS TRUSTEES OF RECLAMATION DISTRICT
NO. 2087
WHEREAS, pursuant to law the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Reclamation District
No. 2087, at least seven days prior to the final date for receiving petitions, duly published
notice that nominating petitions for the office of trustee would be received not later than 5 p.m.
an the 54th day before an election to be held in said District on Tuesday, November 4, 1975; and
WHEREAS, only three petitions for office of trustee were filed by said time and date; and
WHEREAS, the number of trustees to be elected at said election is three, and the number
of nominees does not exceed the number of trustees to be elected; and
WHEREAS, a petition signed by 5 (or any other) per cent of the voters requesting that the
election be held has not been presented to the Board of Trustees of said District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, As follows:
Section 1, Pursuant to Section 50740 of the Water Code of the State of California, an
election shall-TRbe held in Reclamation District No, 2087 on November 4, 1975, for the purpose
of electing trustees of said District.
Section 2. The persons duly nominated for the positions of trustee, namely Alf E.
Brandin, Virginia P. Reed and Wesley F. Suman, are hereby appointed to the office cf trustee of
Reclamation District No, 2087, their terms of office to be for a term of four years commencing
November 4, 1975.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of September, 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Carina, (4).
NOES: Councilman Diament, (1).
ABSENT: None.
