AUTORIZING A REQUEST TO HUD FOR EXTENSION OF THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM 1975 PROGRAM YEAR
WHEREAS, the revised regulations of the Department of Housing and Urban Development
concerning the Community Development Block Grant Programs require that a recipient may request
HUD approval to either shorten or lengthen its program year by more than 30 days, but not more
than three (3) calendar months, for the purpose of conforming the program year to State or local
fiscal budgeting requirements, and said request must be submitted to HUD no later than February 1
of each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, without extension the 1975 program year is scheduled to end on May 13, 1976,
while the City fiscal year terminates on June 30, 1976.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager
is hereby authorized to submit a written request to HUD for an extension of the Community
Development Program 1975 Program year to June 30, 1976, for the purpose of conforming this program
year to the City's fiscal year requirements.
