AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING
A COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY IN ALAMEDA COUNTY
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 8440 adopted November 11, 1975, the City Council
requested the Associated Community Action Program (ACAP) Governing Board to allow the
City of Alameda to become a participant agency in the Joint Powers Agreement Establishing a
Community Action Agency in Alameda County; and
WHEREAS, a proposed joint powers agreement has been submitted to the City Council
for their perusal and consideration and the Council is fully informed and aware of the terms
and conditions thereof.'' and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda that said joint powers
agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor
of the City of Alameda be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute on behalf of said City a
Joint powers agreement with the County of Alameda and other public agencies for the purpose of
establishing a Community Action agency in Alameda County, all as provided for in that certain
form of agreement heretofore submitted by said County to this Council.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
3rd day of August, 1976` by the fo7loiling vote, to wit:
