Resolution 08606CITY OF ALArEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8606 IN COMMENDATION OF MONSIGNOR PATRICK J. O'BRIEN FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY WHEREAS, MONSIGNOR PATRICK J. O'BRIEN, has retired after having spent 30 of his 43 years in the priesthood serving the people of Alameda; and WHEREAS, he administered the building of the new St. Philip Neri Church, grammar school and the Sister's Convent; and WHEREAS, his devotion and love for the City of Alameda and for the people entrusted tc him is generally well known; and WHEREAS, he has received acclaim from his superiors who described him as a priest with an unusual amount of kindliness and love for his fellow man and as an outstanding administrator; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Alameda wishes to recognize a man of the clergy who has contributed so much to his fellow man and his community, and wishes to express the citys appreciation for his contributions over the years.
