ADOPTING CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODES FOR ALL CITY DEPARTMENTS,
COMMISSIONS, AGENCIES AND BOARDS
WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act of 1974 (hereinafter Act) required local public
agencies to adopt conflict of interest codes; and
WHEREAS, as required by said act, the City Council, as the code reviewing body,
has reviewed and approved by resolution the Conflict of Interest Code for the City Departments,
Commissions, Agencies and Boards (Resolutions: 8653, 8667, 8679, 8686, and 8695).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following Departments, Commissions, Agencies
and Boards: City Attorney's Office; Department of the City Clerk, Personnel Department,
Pension Board; Civil Service Board; Police Department; Department of the Auditor/Assessor;
Fire Department; Department of Purchasing; Bureau of Electricity; Library Board, Engineering
Design Division, Office of the Treasurer; Building Code Board of Appeals; Building Inspection
Division; Recreation and Parks Department; Golf Commission; Design Review Board; Department
of the City Manager; Engineering Department; Planning Department; Social Service Human Relations
Board; Library Department; Recreation Commission; Housing Authority; and Planning Board;
hereby adopt the Conflict of Interest Code effective this day.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
3rd day of May, 1977, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Tillman and President Corica, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Sherratt, (1).
