CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8733
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR DISPOSAL OF REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 2417 CENTRAL AVENUE, ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA (FORMER
U.S. POST OFFICE)
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda (Seller) acquired the post office property at 2417
Central Avenue, for the purpose of constructing a police station thereon; and
WHEREAS, circumstances arose which made it not feasible to locate the police station
at that location; and
WHEREAS, after open bidding no satisfactory bid on said property was received; and
WHEREAS, after negotiated offers to purchase said property, the City Manager recommends
that the attached Proposal for Purchase be accepted subject to the conditions therein and
herein.
NOW, TFEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the offer
to purchase the property at 2417 Central Avenue of Mario and Erma DeLucchi (Buyer) be accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said offer is subject to the following conditions:
1. The purchase price is 1191,770.77;
2. A deposit of 51,900.00 is required;
3. Buyer shall use the property for professioral and business offices and related
service areas, for public assembly uses and storage space in areas unuseable
for offices;
4. No substantial changes shall be made to the exterior of the building and
architectural treatrent, including signs, shall be consistent with the
existing design of the building;
5. Buyer shall apply for required parking variances immediately after adoption
of this resolution;
E. Buyer shall have nineth (90) days to obtain needed variances and financing.
Such period may be extended at the option of Seller.
7. Buyer shall pay the balance of the purchase price upon grant of the
variance and withir the time specified in the preceding paragraph;
8. Sale of the property is as is without warranties, Seller to convey by
quit claim deed;
9. If a variance is net granted, Seller will return the deposit within thirty
(30) days;
10. If Buyer does not apply for required variances, or withdraws their offer
Seller may retain the deposit;
11. The conditions as set out and incorporated in the Proposal for Purchase,
attached hereto, shal', apply also.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on
the 7th day of June, 1977, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, Tillman and President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
