EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO JOHN J. GUIDICI FOR HIS
CONTRIBUTION TO THE ALAMEDA POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, MR. JOHN J. GUIDICI, has earned the admiration and
respect of many and has long been recognized as one of the city's most
dct1Ve,Dnd concerned citizens; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Guidici, a retired captain of the Oakland Police
Department, has served as field representative for the International
Association of Chiefs of Police, is a well known lecturer and consultant
in the field of Police Administration and has developed an extensive
technical and resource library; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Guidici, has generously donated his extensive
collection of books and reference materials, consisting of approxi-
mately 175 volumes on police administration and related topics, to
the City of Alameda Police Depa t, and which donation has been
gratefully accepted by Police Chief Richard Young.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Alameda does hereby express to this 'nUtStaUdiOg citizen its genuine
esteem and sincere gratitude for his most unselfish contribution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda
does hereby extend to Mr. Guidici its best wishes for his continued
good health and much happiness in the future.
