Resolution 08853CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8853 ENDORSING PROPOSAL TO WILDLIFE CONSERVATION BOARD FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A FISHING ACCESS AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE NAVAL AIR STATION AT ALAMEDA WHEREAS, the Wildlife Conservation Board of the State of California has a program for the development of fishing access facilities to the waters of this state; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda is of the opinion and belief that there is a need for the development of such facilities to provide fishing access to the waters of San Francisco Bay for the benefit of the people of the City of Alameda, the East Bay and the State in general, and is willing to operate it for that purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that it goes on record in favor of the proposal to develop said fishing access facilities on the waters of San Francisco Bay; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in the event said Wildlife Conservation Board approves of the development of said fishing access facilities and allocates the necessary funds therefor, the City of Alameda will provide a 25-year free lease of the property to the State and the City of Alameda will assume all operation and maintenance responsibilities for the term of Lhe lease. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of January, 1978, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, Tillman, and President Corica, (5). NOES: None. ABSENT: None. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the offitial seal of said City this 4th day of January, 1978.
