AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF REIMBURSABLE AGREEMENT
WITH FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION RELATING TO
INSTALLATION OF A NEW AIR NAVIGATIONAL AID
(LOCALIZER) AND REMOVAL OF EXISTING LOCALIZER ON
RUNWAY 27R, OAKLAND AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the construction by the City of Alameda of City
Line Road will necessitate the relocation and replacement of the
Federal Aviation Administration's Air Navigational Aid (localizer)
located on the Oakland International Airport, Runway 27R; and
WHEREAS, on a reimbursable basis the FAA will install a
new localizer and remove the existing localizer; and
WHEREAS, a proposed agreement with the Federal Aviation
Administration for its services relating to the installation of a
new localizer and removal of the existing localizer on Runway 27R,
Oakland Airport has been submitted to this Council and the Council
is fully informed and aware of the terms and conditions thereof;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda
that said agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager and City Clerk be and each hereby
is, authorized to execute and to attest to respectively, on behalf
of the City, a Reimbursable Agreement with the Federal Aviation
Administration which sets forth the estimated costs and lists a
basic breakdown of the work the FAA will accomplish in installing
a new localizer and removing the existing localizer on Runway 27R,
Oakland Airport, said agreement to be substantially in the form
of that heretofore placed in the Office of the City Clerk and
marked "Filed, February 7, 1978."
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the council of the
,City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of February,
1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, and President Corica, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Tillman, (1).
