Resolution 09087CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. cmq7 APPROVING TAE APPLICATION AND THE PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANTS-IN-AID FUNDS FOR AN HISTORIC PRESERVATION PROJECT WHEREAS, the Congress under Public Law 89-665 has authorized the establishment of a National Historic Preservation Grants-in-Aid Program, providing matching funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for historic preserva- tion, survey, planning, development and acquisition projects; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary rules and procedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applications and the availability of local matching funds prior to submission of said applications to the state; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby: 1. Approves the filing of an application for the National Historic Preservation Grants-in-Aid assistance foran Historic Preservation Project; and 2. Appoints the City Manager or his authorized deputy as agent of the City to coordinate, process and execute all contracts, agreements, amendments and ancillary documents within the scope of the application. 3. Agrees that all required local matching funds will be provided for the project. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of June, 1979, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman, and President Corica, (5).
