APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE BUDGET OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1979-1980
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to and filed with this
Council a tentative budget representing a financial plan for
conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year
1979-1980, said budget being entitled, "City of Alameda -
1979-80 Tentative Budget," and being filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Alameda on June 26, 1979; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda has fully
examined said tentative budget and thereby finds that said
tentative financial plan is in the best interests of the City of
Alameda;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby adopts and approves said
tentative budget in the amount of $13,207,150.00, subject to
final adoption and approval not later than the third Tuesday in
September, 1979, as required by Section 17-4 of the Charter of
the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City
of Alameda and the Auditor of said City are hereby authorized
and directed to follow the precepts of the said tentative budget
in the interim period prior to adoption and approval of the
final budget for the fiscal year 1979-1980 by this Council.
