ORDERING VACATION OF PORTION OF POWER SYSTEM
EASEMENT (WITHIN TRACT 1866 - PORTION OF SOUTH
SHORE CENTER)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
a portion of that certain Power System Easement recorded
October 21, 1960 in Reel 191, Image 407, Alameda County Records,
more particularly described as follows:
REAL PROPERTY in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda,
State of California, described as follows:
A portion of that strip of land, 10.00 feet wide,
described as Parcel 1 of that certain Grant of Ease-
ment for underground power system purposes made to
the City of Alameda, a municipal corporation, dated
October 6, 19C0 and recorded October 21, 1960 in
Reel 191, Image 407, Official Records of Alameda
County, further described as follows:
A ten foot wide strip of land, the center line of
which is more particularly described as:
COMMENCING at Point D, as said point is described in
said Parcel 1; thence 5 55° 04 03" E, 233.90 feet
to the center of a junction box; thence S 34° 46' 41"
W, 121.07 feet; thence S 10° 13' 19" E, 10.55 feet
to a transformer vault #2; thence N 79° 46' 41" E,
9.73 feet; thence S 55' 13' 19" E, 227.08 feet; thence
S 10° 13' 19 E, 15.94 feet to a point in transformer
vault #3; thence S 52° 53' 32 E, 93.47 feet to the
center of a junction box, which center is distant
S 34° 46' 41" W, 111.25 feet; N 55° 13' 19" W, 82.94
feet and S 34° 46' 41" W, 21.57 feet from the most
easterly angle point in the center line of the 25 foot
wide Public Utility Easement shown within Lot 1,
Block 13, Tract 1866 filed October 30, 1957 in Map
Book 38, Pages 50 to 54, inclusive, Alameda County
Records, said center being also the ACTUAL POINT OF
BEGINNING for this description; thence from the
center of last named junction box S 34° 51' 54" W,
203.44 feet.,
is hereby ordered vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section
50443, Government Code of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda hereby finds and determines that (1) the said public
service easement herein ordered vacated is unnecessary for
present or prospective public use, and (2) said easement has
not been used for the purpose for which it was acquired for
more than five (5) consecutive years preceding the vacation
herein ordered.
