Resolution 09213CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9213 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6232, DESIGNATING CITY HOLIDAYS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES (EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1980) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that Resolution No 6232, which established rules and regulations relating to employees subject to the currect effective Salary and q Position Resolution, is hereby amended by amending subsection (g) of Section 2 thereof, to read: (g) Except as set forth in subsections (a) and (b) of Section 12, Resolution No 9162, holidays for City employees are: 4 (1) January 1st. (2) February 12th, known as "Lincoln's Birthday." (3) The third Monday in February, known as "Washington's Birthday." (4) The last Monday in May known as "Memorial Day." (5) July 4th, known as "Independence Day." (6) The first Monday in September, known as "Labor Day." (7) September 9th, known as "Admission Day." (8) November llth, known as "Veteran's Day." (9) The fourth Thursday in November, or such Thursday in November appointed by the President or Governor, known as "Thanksgiving Day." (10) The any immediately following "Thanksgiving Day." (11) December 25th. (12) Good Friday from 12 noon to 3 p.m. (13) One floating holiday to be scheduled by mutual agreement between employee and Department Head or designated representative. (14) Any day designated by the City Council as a holiday. When a regularly scheduled holiday falls upon an employee's first or second day off immediately following a normal five-day work period, he shall receive a day off in lieu of such holiday. Such day off shall be the last work day immediately preceding that holiday, or the first work day immediately following that holiday.
