AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH PROVIDENCE
VETERINARY HOSPITAL FOR EMERGENCY TREATMENT or
INJURED OR SICK ANIMALS WHOSE OWNERS ARE UNKNOWN
(Normal Working Hours)
Ti alEXEAS, a proposed agreement with Providence Veterinary
Hospital for its services relating to emergency treatment of
injured or sick animals whose owners are unknown and are taken to
the veterinary hospital by Animal Shelter personnel, a Police
Officer oraprivate citizen during normal workinghours that said
hospital is open for business, and which provides far certain
payment by the City therefor, has been submitted to this Council,
and the Council is fully informed and aware of the terms and condi-
tions thereof, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda
that said agreement, for a term commencing an July 1, 1980 and
ending on June 30, 1981, be entered into,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby
authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the
City, that certain agreement referred to above by and between
Providence veterinary Hospital and the City of Alameda, for its
services relating to emergency treatment of injured or sick
animals whose owners are unknown. The City Clerk is hereby
directed to attest to same»
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th day of August, 1980
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Stone, Tillman and
President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Sherratt - 1.
