COMMENDING WILLIAM y YEARS
OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA/BUREAU OF ELECTRICITY
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, WILLIAM W. MORRISON will be retiring from the City Alameda's
Bureau of Electricity on January 14, 1981; and
'
WHEREAS, "BILL" MORRISON was hired on February 12, 1946, as a Lineman's
Helper, and through hard work, perseverance, and intelligence did progress to
Lineman, Lineman Crew Foreman, General Foreman, Line Superintendent to Operations
Manager; and
WHEREAS, this success story is truly one that typifies h American dream,
where honesty, dedicated ambition, concern for others has s rewards; and
WHEREAS, during "BILL'S" tenure with the Bureau, he has earned the respect
and affection of not only his co-workers but also that of countless lamedaOS.
NOW. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda
extends congratulations to "BILL" retirement after years,
11 months and 2 days f service to the City of Alameda and thanks him for his
dedication to the City and wish him good health and happiness in the years
ahead.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the
Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled
on the 6th day of January, 1981, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and
President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
