AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATION FOR TRANSPORTATION
DEVELOPMENT ACT GRANT FUNDS FOR BICYCLE PATH UNDER
NORTH END OF BAY FARM ISLAND BRIDGE
WHEREAS, the Transportation'ievelopment Act (TDA), as
amended (Public Utilities Code Sections 99200 et seq.), provides
for the disbursement of funds from the Local Transportation Fund of
the County of Alameda for use by eligible claimants for the
purpose of constructing 'a bike path from Peach Street, under the
northerly end of the Bay Farm Island Bridge and long the northerly
side of Otis Drive adjacent to the Aeolian Yacht Club; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, as amended,
and pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder
(21 Cal. Admin. Code Sections' 6600 et seq.) a;prospectivre claimant
wishing to receive an allocation from the Local Transportatian Fund
shall file its claim with the an Transportation Commission,
and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF SHE CITY OF
ALAMEDA that T. D. Edwards, Acting City Engineer, is hereby
authorized to execute and file an appropriate claim pursuant to the
terms of the - Tri1:1 nation Development Act, as amended, and
ursuant to applicable rules and regulations promulgated thereunder,
gether with all necessary supporting documents, with the
etropolitan Transportation Commission' for an allocation of TDA
funds in Fiscal Year 1981 -82,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVL'D that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in conjunc-
tion with the filing of the claim and the Motropolitan Transpor-
tation Commission be requested to grant the allocations of funds as
specified herein.

of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of March, 1981
