Resolution 09618CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9618 CLARIFYING THE TEXT OF THE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION SECTION OF THE APPENDICES OF THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AND ACKNOW- LEDGING THE ADEQUACY OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION WHEREAS, by its Resolution Nu 9235, adopted February 12, 1980, the City adopted as its Housing Element that certain document entitled "Housing Element/ City of Alameda, November, 1979,° in accordance with Sections 65302 and following of the Government Code of California; and WHEREAS,' text of the Citiz section thereof, Board, and ere has en Parti he same been prepared a clarification of the potion Section of the Appendices paving been considered by the Planning REAS, the Negative Declaration of the Housing Eleme has previously been approved by the Planning Board and'certi.c d by the City ,Councl; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Council reiterates its certification that it has reviewed and considered the informat on contained in the Negative Declaration; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the text of the Citizen Participation Section of the 'Appendices of the Housing Element of the General Plan of the City of Alameda is hereby clarifjed by replacing sentence one of said section with the following paragraph: "The Alameda City Council appointed a Citizens Housing Element Advisory Committee of eleven members to represent the diverse economic segments of the City. The Council sought to include community leaders who were interested and active in improving housing opportunities For all Alameda residents. The committee included renters, property owners, minorities, low and moderate income residents and representatives of labor, banking, business, taxpayers, social service and general interest citizens organizations: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the remainder i?f the existing text of Said 'Citizen Participation - Section shall be retained as a second paragraph. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a special meeting assembled on the 28th of September, 1981, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 29th day of September, 1981.
