DESIGNATING TIIE PERSON TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF
THE CITY MANAGER IN THE EVENT OF HIS ABSENCE OR
DISABILITY
WHEREAS, Section 3 -7(h) of Article III of the Charter
of the City of Alameda requires that the City Council shall
designate the person to perform the duties of the City Manager
in the event of his absence or disability;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER is hereby designated
as the person to perform, the duties of the City Manager in the
event of said City Manager's absence or disability.
BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED that the PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR is
hereby designated as the person to, perform the duties of the
City Manager in the event of the Assistant City Manager's absence
or disability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CITY ENGINEER is hereby
designated as the person to perform the duties of the City
Manager in the event of the Public Works Director's absence or
disability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CITY ATTORNEY is hereby
designated as the person to perform the duties of the City
Manager in the event of the City Engineer's absence or disability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No 5681 relating
to the same subject matter is hereby fully and - completely
rescinded.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a regular adjourned meeting assembled on
December 8, 1981, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5e
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
