DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE A SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT,
FIXING DATE FOR HEARING THEREON, AND ORDERING
PUBLICATION AND POSTING OF NOTICE (AT INTERSECTION OF
FERNSIDE BOULEVARD AND WASHINGTON STREET)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that,
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements
Vacation Law (Secs. 8320 and following, Streets and Highways Code
of California), the public interest reauires, and said Council
hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of one public
service easement in the City of Alameda, being a Sanitary Sewer
Easement located in a portion of Lots 29 and 30 in Section 18,
Township 2 South, Range 3 West, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, as
said lots are shown on "Map No. 2 of Salt Marsh and Tide Lands
Situate in the County of Alameda, State of California, 1871 ",
certified copies thereof having been filed with the County Recorder
of the City and County of San Francisco, and in the Office of
the Department of Finance, Division of State Lands, State of
California, more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the point of intersection of the northwestern
line of East Shore Drive with the southwestern line
of Block "D" of Tract 1849, as shown on the map
thereof filed June 6, 1958, in Book 38 of Maps,
Page 87 thereof in the office of the Alameda County
Recorder;
THENCE along the last said.. line, North 47° 40' 22 West,
392.84 feet to the western corner of lot 8 of said
Block "D";
THENCE southwesterly along a non - tangent curve having a
radius of 1,000 feet, whose center bears South
47° 39' 08" East, through a central angle of
3° 37' 27" to a point of reverse curvature, a
distance of 63.26 feet;
THENCE southwesterly along a curve having a radius of
1,000 feet, through, a central angle of 3° 37' 27 ",
a distance of 63.26 feet;
THENCE tangent to said curve South 42° 20' 52" West, 757.18
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
northwesterly;
THENCE southwesterly along last said curve having a radius
of 844 feet, through a central angle of 2° 32' 23 ",
a distance of 37.41 feet to the southeasterly pro-
longation of the centerline of Washington Street as
said street is shown on the "Map of the Town of
Alameda and Adjacent Lands ", filed September 12, 1867,
in Book 5 of Maps, page 16, in the office of the
Alameda County Recorder;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that he City Clerk is hereby
directed to publish -a copy of this resolution twice, once in
each of two successive weeks prior to said hearing, in the official
_ewspaper of the City of Alameda, and to cause to be posted
Notices of said pr000sed- easement vacation in the manner prescribed
Section 8323 of said code.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of February, 1982,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
