ESTABLISHING REDUCED SEWER SERVICE FEE RATE FOR LOW
INCOME ELDERLY
WHEREAS, Section 6-321(a) of the Alameda Municipal Code
establishes a sewer service charge of Fifty Cents ($0.50) for
Low Income Elderly Residents; and
WHEREAS, Section 6-312 of said Code defines "Elderly resident"
as a person qualifying for a reduced sewer service charge by age
and/or income as set by resolution of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that applicants for reduced sewer service charges must
meet the following qualifications:
1. Applicant must show p=2oof of residence.
2. Applicant must show proof that total expected 1982
household income may not exceed the following
amounts

If the size of household exceeds six, add $1,525 for
each additional member in the household.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a regular adjourned meeting assembled on May 11, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
