AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA, THE CITY OF OAKLAND, AND PRICE WATERHOUSE
AND COMPANY TO CONDUCT A JOINT REFUSE RATE STUDY
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to enter into a contract
for professional services in the form of a Refuse Rate Study with
Price Waterhouse and Company for the purpose of gaining assistance
in reviewing and recommending refuse rates and return on invest-
ment of the Oakland Scavenger Company; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has agreed with the other
jurisdictions' members of the Refuse Rate Review Committee to
share the expenses of said Study, for the reason that said Study
provides benefits for all the jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the net cost to the City of Alameda is $2,340;
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute; and the City Clerk to attest, on behalf of
the City of Alameda, an Agreement for 1982 Joint Refuse Rate
Study in which the City agrees to pay Price Waterhouse and Company
an amount not to exceed $2,340 for services rendered in performing
said Study.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $2,340 is hereby
authorized to be appropriated from the Franchise Fee Fund to
fund said Study.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th of November, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: ',nunCilman Diament - 1.
