APPROVING PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD ACTION AUTHORIZING
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA POWER
AGENCY AND PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR
BINDING ARBITRATION ON OUTSTANDING ISSUES FOR THE
INTERCONNECTION AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, at its meeting on January 17, 1983, the Public
Utilities Board of the City of Alameda adopted a resolution
approving and authorizing execution of. an Arbitration Agreement
between the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) and Pacific
Gas and Electric Company (PG &E) or the purpose of resolving
all issues between NCPA and PG &E over the Interconnection
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, because the Interconnection Agreement, which
the Arbitration Agreement requires to be executed, represents
a power supply contract of more than ten years' duration and
will supplant the existing power supply contract between PG &E
and the Bureau, the Charter requires approval by the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby approves the action
taken by the Public Utilities Board approving and authorizing
the execution of an Arbitration Agreement between NCPA and
PG &E for binding arbitration on outstanding issues for the
Interconnection Agreement.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th of January, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dfd0eDt, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
