AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL OF THE RATCLIFF
ARCHITECTS FOR DESIGN PHASE FOR RENOVATION OF
CITY HALL
WHEREAS, on February 15, 1982, the Council approved a
grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation for
a structural study of City Hall; and.
WHEREAS, the City solicited Requests for Proposal for
the Space Allocation/Interior Design Study of the Alameda City
Hall; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that The Ratcliff
Architects submitted the best proposal and appear best suited
for the work to be accomplished; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City that
at this time only Phase I of the proposal be done; and
WHEREAS, a proposed Agreement with The Ratcliff Architects
for a Master Plan of Interior Space Allocation and. Design for
City Hall, based on Phase I of Architects proposal, has been
submitted to this Council, and the Council is fully informed
and aware of the terms and conditions thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda,
that certain agreement referred to above by and between The
Ratcliff Architects and the City of Alameda for a Master Plan
of interior Space Allocation and Design for City Hall. The
City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of April, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Diament, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Gorman - 1.
