AMENDING THE CALIFORNIA DENTAL SERVICE CONTRACT TO
ALLOW ENROLLMENT OF THE FAMILY OF ROBERT J. DAVEY, JR.
WHEREAS, Robert J. Davey, Jr., a Police Officer, was
killed in the line of duty while working for the City of
Alameda; and
WHEREAS, he leaves a widow and four minor children; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to provide the oppor-
tunity for the family to participate in the City dental plan
until the four children reach age eighteen (18) or are married,
whichever comes first;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby authorizes the amendment
of the California Dental Service (C.D.S.) contract to allow
the family of an employee slain while on duty the ability to
enroll in the City group dental plan at their own expense.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd of May, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Diament, Gorman, $herratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT:None.
