REJECTING ALL PROPOSALS RECEIVED AND AUTHORIZING
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE ON THE OPEN MARKET
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE ALAMEDA CORPORATION YARD
(MAINTENANCE SERVICE CENTER)
WHEREAS, on May 3, 1983 this Council adopted Resolution
No. 10033 approving plans for construction of a new corporation
yard and calling for proposals; and
WHEREAS, three proposals were received, none of which
contained all of the submittals required by the Request for
Proposal; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that by negotiating on
the open market the construction of the facility can be accomplished
within the funds allocated for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City of Alameda rejects all proposals submitted
for the construction of the Alameda Corporation Yard and hereby
authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate on the open
market for the terms of construction of said facility.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th of July, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament -
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
