RESOLUTION SUPPORTING HR 1I76 TO LIFT THE SUNSET
PROVISION FOR MORTGAGE REVENUE BONDS
WHEREAS the Mortgage Revenue Bond Law will expire on
December 31, 1983;
WHEREAS, the provisions of this law have permitted some
moderate income families to buy, rent or rehabilitate their
homes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has adopted a policy to
encourage home ownership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA, that this City urges its Congressional Representatives
to actively support the continuation of mortgage revenue bonds by
lifting the sunset provisions as provided in H.R. 1176.
This is to certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th of October, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: Councilmember Lucas - 1.
ABSENT: None.
