APPROPRIATING $10,000 FROM PARKING METER FUND TO REPAIR
AND REPLACE STOLEN AND VANDALIZED PARKING METERS
WHEREAS, an unusual amount of vandalism to off-street and
on-street parking meters has occurred in recent weeks; and
WHEREAS, fiscal year 1983-84 funds allocated in the Equip-
ment Replacement Fund for parking meter replacement and the
Maintenance Services operating budget allocation for meter repair
parts have been depleted; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that replacement meters
and new parts will cost approximately$a0,M and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City that the
stolen and vandalized parking meters be replaced and repaired
at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the sum of $10,000 is hereby appropriated from
the Parking Meter Fund to finance the replacement and repair of
vandalized parking meters.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing; Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2 th of March, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
