AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE DONATION
OF A FIRE BOAT FROM THE COAST GUARD TO THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, the United States of America, acting by and through
the Secretary of Transportation and Commandant, U. S. Coast Guard,
has offered to donate a forty-foot CG-40580 Utility Boat to the
City of Alameda for use as a fire /rescue boat; and
WHEREAS, a proposed Personal Property Donation Agreement
setting forth the terms and conditions for the acceptance of the
Utility Boat has been submitted to this Council, and the Council
is fully informed and aware of the contents thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda
that said Utility Boat be accepted and that said agreement be
entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager of the City of Alameda is hereby
authorized and directed to accept the donation from the Coast
Guard of a forty -foot CG -40580 Utility Boat and to execute, for
and on behalf of the City, that certain Personal Property Donation
Agreement referred to above.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of May, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Hanna, Monsef and President Diament - 3.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmembers Gorman and Lucas.
