APPROVING AMENDED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS, LOCAL
689, AND THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to this Council an
amended Memorandum of Understanding between the International
Association of Firefighters, Local 689, and the City of Alameda;
and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda has fully
examined said proposed amendments to the Memorandum of Under-
standing and thereby finds that said proposed amendments are in
the best interests of the City of Alameda;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby adopts and approves said
proposed amended Memorandum of Understanding.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the position classifications,
salary rates, salary ranges and salary steps set out in said
amended Memorandum of Understanding are hereby designated as
those applicable to the respective classifications in the service
of the City of Alameda, effective January 1, 1984,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of this
Resolution shall supersede any other resolution in conflict
herewith.

NOTE:
Current active employee under Pension Plan No. 1079 (2manatus Operator
Eugene Perry) will receive 11/2% salary increase effective January 1, 1984
and 31/2% salary increase effective April 1, 1984 in lieu of retirement
pick-up.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly-adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of July,
1984, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
ROES: None.
ABSENT: None.
