AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NO. 7
TO LOCAL AGENCY FOR FEDERAL FUNDING TO INSTALL
AUTOMATIC GATES AND LIGHTS ON MARINA VILLAGE PARKWAY
AT SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD CROSSING
WHEREAS, the City and the State of California, acting
through the Department of Transportation Division of its Business
and Transportation Agency, entered into an agreement on June
22, 1977 for federal funds to be made available for use on
Federal-Aid Safety Improvement Projects within the City of
Alameda; and
WHEREAS, Program Supplement No. 7 to Local Agency-State
Agreement No 4-5014, covering funding for the installation
of No 9 automatic gates and flashing lights to replace existing
crossbucks on Marina Village Parkway at Southern Pacific RR
Grade Crossing No D-13.52-C, has been submitted to this Council,
and the Council is fully informed and aware of the terms and
conditions thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, Program
Supplement No. 7 to Local Agency-State Agreement No. 4-5014
with the State of California, acting through Department of
Transportation District No. 4 of its Business and Transporta-
tion Agency, for the installation of automatic gates and lights
on Marina Village Parkway at the Southern Pacific Railroad
Crossing. The City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th of September, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
