AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF A MOWER FOR
THE GOLF COURSE DIVISION OF THE RECREATION AND
PARKS DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the 1985 -86 Equipment
Replacement budget for the acquisition of various maintenance
class items for the Golf Course Division of the Recreation and
Parks Department; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that purchase on the open
market of a Greens Mower best suited for its intended use would
result in considerable savings to the City; and
WHEREAS, competitive prices have been obtained and the
lowest and best bid was obtained from H. V. Carter Company of
Oakland in the amount of $10,661.42 all inclusive for a Jacobsen
Greens King IV Mower equipped with a 14 HP Kohler engine,
including grass catchers and rollers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the
Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to act as the
representative of the City in the purchase of said Greens Mower
for the Golf Course.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of October, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers, Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
