AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA FOR A COAST GUARD ISLAND MOORING
FACILITY
WHEREAS, the United States of America proposes to
construct a new waterfront facility at the United States Coast
Guard Support Center Alameda which project will affect
approximately nine acres of submerged lands that are contiguous
to Coast Guard Island and that are owned by the City; and
WHEREAS, a proposed agreement between the City and the
United States of America documenting the City's concurrence and
defining the federal government's responsibility has been
submitted to this Council and the Council is fully informed and
aware of the terms and conditions thereof, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
eda that said agreement be entered into;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute, and the City Clerk to attest to, for and on behalf of
the City, that certain agreement referred to above by and between
the City of Alameda and the United States of America relating to
the construction of a new waterfront facility at Coast Guard
Island.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th of November, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmenbers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: Pone.
ABSENT: "done.
