APPROVING AND ACCEPTING EASEMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE
COMBUSTION TURBINE PROJECT
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require a
right -of -way and access easement in certain property located
along the Southern Pacific Railroad north of Singleton Avenue in
connection with the interconnection of the Combustion Turbine of
the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) with the Bureau's 115
kV system; and
WHEREAS, a certain Easement Agreement granted by Stanley
Boersma and Geurtje J Boersma, husband and wife, as joint
tenants as to an undivided 2/3 interest and Joel S. Gambord as
to an undivided 1/3 interest (hereinaafter referred to as
Grantor) for a public utility purpose, was executed on December
18, 1985, and delivered by the Grantor to the City, and
WHEREAS, NCPA has provided the funds required by the
owners as reasonable consideration for the granting of the
easement; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City that said
Easement Agreement be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the. City
of Alameda that the aforementioned Easement Agreement, granted
by Stanley Boersma, Geurtje J. Boersma and Joel's. Gambord
to the City of Alameda for public utility purposes, is hereby
accepted on behalf of the City of Alameda and said Council,
acting for and on behalf of said City, hereby consents to the
recordation of said Easement Agreement and orders this
resolution to be attached thereto, as required by Section 27181
of the Government Code of the State of California:
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of January, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
