AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF STATE- MANDATED
SMOG TESTING EQUIPMENT FOR THE CENTRAL GARAGE
WHEREAS, a recent directive from the State Bureau of
Automotive Repair indicates that state - mandated smog testing
equipment is required for testing government fleet vehicles; and
WHEREAS, immediate purchase of an exhaust gas analyzer
is necessary to comply with this state requirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City
Charter the Public Works Department is hereby authorized to
purchase state - mandated smog testing equipment for the Central
Garage.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th of February, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas and President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Monsef - 1.
