AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH NISHITA & CARTER,
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS, FOR RESTORATION OF AREAS AT SHORELINE PARK
WHEREAS, it has become necessary that the City develop
plans and specifications for the restoration of eroded areas and
placement of rip rap at Shoreline Park; and
WHEREAS, this project has been previously approved in the
City Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the consultant's fee for developing accurate cost
estimates, technical specifications, bid documents, and providing
project supervision for this project, as negotiated with Nishita &
Carter is $7300, to be funded from the Dwelling Unit Tax; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Alameda
that an agreement be entered into with Nishita & Carter for
professional services in developing said plans and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the proposal of Nishita & Carter is hereby accepted
and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute
for, and on behalf of, the City an agreement with Nishita & Carter
for professional services relating to the restoration of areas at
Shoreline Park at a cost of $7300, to be funded from the Dwelling
Unit Tax. The City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th of May, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament -
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
