RESOLUTION N0. 10904
A RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING ANNUAL REPORT,
DECLARING INTENTION TO ORDER LEVY AND COLLECTION OF
ASSESSMENTS AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE OF HEARING THEREOF
ISLAND CITY LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT 84 -2
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, California, that
1. On May 6 , 1986, this City Council adopted Resolution No.
10881 , A Resolution Directing Preparation of Annual Report for
Maintenance Assessment District, Island City Landscaping and Lighting
District 84 -2, (the "District "). Pursuant to said resolution, John Heindel,
as Engineer, prepared a report in accordance with Section 22565 et seq. of
the California Streets and Highways Code. Said report has been made, filed
with the City Clerk and duly considered by this Council and is hereby deemed
sufficient and preliminarily approved. Said report shall stand as the
Engineer's Report for all subsequent proceedings under and pursuant to the
foregoing resolution.
2. It is the intention of this Council to levy and collect assessments
within the Island City Landscaping and Lighting District 84 -2 for the fiscal
year 1986 -1987. Within said District, the existing and proposed
improvements and any substantial changes proposed to be made to the existing
improvements are generally as described on Exhibit A attached hereto and
hereby made a part hereof.
3. Reference is hereby made to the aforementioned Engineer's Report,
on file with the City Clerk, for a full and detailed description of the
improvements, the boundaries of the proposed maintenance assessment district
and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots and parcels of land within
said district. Within said district, any public property owned by any
public agency and in use in the performance of a public function shall be
assessed.
4. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 3rd day of June, 1986,
at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the regular meeting place of this
Council, City Hall, Santa Clara Avenue and Oak Street, Alameda, California,
a hearing by the Council will be held on the question of the levy of the
proposed assessment.
5. Prior to the conclusion of said hearing, any interested person may
file a written protest with said Clerk, or, having previously filed a
protest, may file a written withdrawal of that protest. A written protest
shall state all grounds of objection. A protest by a property owner shall
contain a description sufficient to identify the property owned by such
owner.
6. The City Clerk shall cause notice of said hearing to be given by
publishing a copy of this resolution once, at least ten (10) days prior to
the date of hearing above specified, in the Times Star, a newspaper
published and circulated in the City of Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of May, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
