DESIGNATING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR A MEMBER OF THE
CLAIMS BOARD IN CONNECTION WITH THE CITY'S
LIABILITY SELF-INSURANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 8841 adopted on December
20, 1977, this Council established a Claims Account and Claims
Board in connection with the City's liability self-insurance
program; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney, City Manager and the General
Manager of the Bureau of Electricity, or their designees were
designated as the Claims Board by said resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Electricity no longer is joined
with the City in its self-insurance program for general
liability;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that Resolution No. 8841 be and hereby is amended
to provide that the City Attorney, City Manager and Finance
Director, or their designees, are designated as the Claims Board
in connection with the City's liability self-insurance program.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 16th of December, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef
and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
