CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11092
OVERRULING OBJECTIONS TO NOTICE TO CONSTRUCT STREET
IMPROVEMENTS ON OLEANDER AVENUE AT MELROSE AVENUE
AND AUTHORIZING SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO CAUSE
SAID WORK TO BE PERFORMED
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Div. 7,
Pt. 3, Ch. 27 of the Streets and Highways Code of California,
Sections 5870 and following, on January 6, 1987, on its own
motion, this Council ordered the installation of street
improvements on a portion of the southern half of Oleander
Avenue, approximately 113 feet in length, at the intersection of
Melrose Avenue, and authorized the Superintendent of Streets to
notify the owners of said property to perform the work; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets duly notified the
owners of said property to install said street improvements; and
WHEREAS, said Notice required said owners to complete
construction of said work within sixty days thereafter, the work
to consist of street, sidewalk, curb and gutter improvements,
with all materials , workmanship, locations and elevations to be
in accordance with Plans prepared by the City of Alameda and to
the satisfaction of the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, said Notice specified TUESDAY, JANUARY 20, 1987,
at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, located in the City
„q Hall, as the time and place when the City Council would hear and
pass upon objections or protests, if any, which may be raised by
N-) said property owners or other interested persons to said work;
and
WHEREAS, the hearing of said matter having regularly come
before this Council and the Council having heard and passed upon
all such objections or protests and being fully advised in the
,,- premises,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that it is hereby found, determined and decided that
any objections or protests to said Notice or to any matters
contained therein, are hereby overruled, and the said
Superintendent of Streets be and he hereby is authorized to cause
to be performed the construction of street, sidewalk, curb and
gutter on Oleander Avenue at Melrose Avenue as described in said
Notice, all in accordance with the provisions of said Div. 7,
Pt. 3, Ch. 27, of said Streets and Highways Code of California.

the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 20th of January, 1987,

ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR CLOSURE OF
DOOLITTLE LANDFILL SITE, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, specifications and plans have been prepared for
the Closure of Doolittle Landfill Site, numbered P.W. 12-86-39,
and filed in the office of the City Clerk on January 20, 1987.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that said Specifications be, and the same are, hereby
approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock
, p.m. on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 1987, for furnishing to the City
of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Plans. Bids must be presented to the City and
plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Closure of Doolittle
: Landfill Site," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the

responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The
