Resolution 11127CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11127
AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR A STUDY
OF CITY'S EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The City has operated an Emergency Medical
Transport System since 1984; and
WHEREAS, the County of, Alameda has recently initiated a
Trauma Center at Highland Hospital which will require new
protocols regarding Trauma triage; and
WHEREAS, Alameda Hospital has agreed to share the costs
of a study of Alamneda's current system and the system proposed by
the County; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Ronald Crowell has a strong professional
emergency medical background and is well qualified to perform
such a study;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that Dr. Ronald Crowell be engaged to review the
City's pre - hospital care system and make appropriate
recommendations; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $2,000 is hereby
appropriated from the General Fund to cover the costs of this
study.

Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 3rd of March, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas and
President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Vice Mayor Monsef - 1.
