APPROVING MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR
THE RESTORATION OF THE BAYVIEW SHORELINE BEACH
AND BIRD SANCTUARY
WHEREAS, the Planning Board adopted a Proposed Mitigated
Negative Declaration for the Bayview Shoreline Bird Sanctuary and
Beach Stablization project at its regular meeting of June 22,
1987; and
WHEREAS, an application has been submitted to Bay
Conservation and Development Commission to legalize fill and
seawall construction performed earlier by adjacent homeowners;
and
WHEREAS, the Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration has
been submitted to this Council, and the Council is fully informed
and aware of the contents thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Alameda hereby approves Mitigated Negative Declaration,
for the restoration of the Bayview Shoreline Beach and
tiBird Sanctuary, including the following mitigation measure:
The existing sidewalk on the south side of Otis Drive
between Bayview Drive and the western end of Bridge View
Isle shall be widened to eight feet and designated a
combined bicycle/pedestrian path.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 4th day of August, 1987
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas,
and President Corica - 5
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
