AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE TOWING OF PRIVATE
VEHICLES WITHIN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA TO TED AND
JOE'S TOWING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda at its July
7, 1987 meeting directed the Chief of Police or his designate
together with the Purchasing Agent to enter into negotiations
with interested towing firms for the provision of tow services as
described in Specifications No. MSP 6-87-1; and
WHEREAS, competitive negotiations were started July 28,
1987 and concluded August 4, 1987; and
WHEREAS, negotiations were conducted individually with
each qualified supplier being accorded fair and equal treatment
with respect to opportunity for discussion and revision of their
proposals; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and the
proposal, after revisions, is the best bid received;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
'cr of Alameda that the bid of Ted and Joe's Towing, a co-partner-
ship, is hereby accepted, the contract for furnishing towing
service of private vehicles within the City of Alameda in
accordance with Specifications No. MSP 6-87-1 is hereby awarded
to said bidder for a period of five years, and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said
contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed-by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 18th of August, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:

Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
