APPROPRIATING $1,837.10 FROM THE NARCOTIC ASSET
SEIZURE FUND INTO THE AMMUNITIONS AND FIREARMS
ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, there are funds in the Police Department
Narcotics Asset Seizure Account which was recently established
for the purpose of enhancing the ability of the Police Department
to combat drug related crime; and
WHEREAS, on July 27 and 28 of this year the Police
Department hosted a course dealing with officer safety/tactics
when serving narcotic search warrants; and
WHEREAS, total expenses for this course, which were
non-budgeted expenditures, amounted to $1,837.10 and where
charged to existing Police Department accounts; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to replenish the depleted
Ammunitions and Firearms Account to facilitate continuance of
regularly planned firearms training programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the sum of $1,837.10 is hereby appropriated from
the Narcotic Asset Seizure Fund (219-300-0000-3611) into the
Ammunitions and Firearms Account (001-400-3120-5107).
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed-by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 15th of September, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Thomas and
President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Monsef - 1.
