AWARDING CONTRACT TO TRANS-BAY CONSTRUCTION,
INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW REST ROOMS AT
LINCOLN PARK AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, on September 1, 1987, the Council of the
City of Alameda approved staff's recommendation to reject the
lone bid received for construction of rest room facilities at
Lincoln Park as the bid was significantly higher than the
architect's estimate; and
WHEREAS, said Council heretofore published notice calling
for bids for Construction of New Rest Rooms At Lincoln Park in
accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 6-87-13 approved
September 15, 1987; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Trans-Bay Construction, Inc. agreeing to perform
said work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
v: $97,285.00; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Trans-Bay Construction, Inc. is hereby

accepted, the contract for construction of new rest rooms at
-Lincoln Park is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is
r-t% c.,;hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said
contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 20th of October, 1987,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
