Resolution 11378CITY OF A DA RESOLUTION NO.11378 EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO STATE SENATOR NICHOLAS PETRIS WHEREAS, State Senator Nicholas Petris represents the 9th Senatorial District which includes the City of Alameda; and WHEREAS, Senator Petris sponsored Senate Bill 1473 during the 1987-88 Legislative Session which requires owners of Federally subsidized housing units to provide at least six months advanced notice to affected tenants and the City prior to converting those units to market rate; and WHEREAS, Senator Petris sponsored Senate bill 1297 during the 1987-88 Legislative Session which authorizes the formation of a State-wide non-profit corporation for the purpose of raising capital for acquisition of low income housing units which are currently facing threat of conversion to market rate due to the termination of Federal subsidy programs. City of Alameda extends its sincere appreciation to Senator Nicholas Petris for the legislation he has sponsored on behalf of low income tenants in the State of California and encourages his continued and increased support for the City of Alameda and its 4i constituents in 1988. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the * I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th of January, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5.
