Resolution 11401CITY OF ALA EDA RESOLUTION NO. 11401
SUPPORTING THE CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE, COASTAL AND PARK LAND
CONSERVATION ACT OF 1988
WHEREAS, the Wildlife, Coastal and Park Land Initiative
would provide $776 Million state-wide to protect wildlife
habitat, park lands and coastal areas and to provide recreational
opportunities for the benefit of present and future generations
of Californians; and
WHEREAS, this initiative will provide $46 Million for
Alameda and Contra Costa Counties; and
WHEREAS, these lands are an essential and irreplacable part
of our State's unique natural heritage and must be preserved; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda City Council finds that these lands are
a vital and necessary part of our unique island community and
help to preserve the City's quality of life; and
,
WHEREAS, a statewide coalition of civic and conservation
groups and businesses has formed as Californians for Parks and

California Wildlife, Coastal and Park Land Initiative on the
LL :17:;June, 1988 State ballot.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Alameda, California does hereby support the California
Wildlife, Coastal and Park Land Conservation Act of 1988.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 16th of February, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
