APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF A COASTAL CONSERVANCY
GRANT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A BICYCLE STAGING
AREA TO SERVE EXISTING AND FUTURE PUBLIC
BICYCLE TRAIL LINKS IN ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of California has
established the State Coastal Conservancy pursuant to public
resource code 3760 - 301- 730(e), and has authorized it to award
grants to local public agencies for the acquisition and
development of coastal accessways; and
WHEREAS, the grants are awarded pursuant to guidelines
established by the State Coastal Conservancy for the determina-
tion of project eligibility for funds; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Coastal
Conservancy requires applicant to authorize by resolution the
acceptance of grants and the execution of grant agreements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Alameda hereby:
1. Accepts funding under the State Coastal Conservancy
Access Grants Program for the construction of a bicycle staging
area in Alameda at Peach Street and Bridgeview Isle; and
2. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City
to execute and submit all documents including but not limited to
Certificate of Acceptance of offers to dedicate, grant
agreements, amendments, billing statements and so on which are
necessary for the completion of the project.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the lst of March, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and Mayor Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
