Resolution 13471CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 13471 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO MASTER FUNDING AGREEMENTS WITH THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY TO RECEIVE PROGRAMMATIC PASS- THROUGH FUNDS FROM MEASURE B 2000 FOR FISCAL YEARS 2002 -2012 WHEREAS, Measure B 2000 half -cent sales tax was reauthorized by voters in November 2000, and WHEREAS, Measure B 2000 provides funds for the improvement and maintenance of local streets and roads and bicycle and pedestrian projects; provision of transit service; and WHEREAS, ACTIA has drafted two master funding agreements with the City of Alameda for the receipt of Measure B funds for each of these two programs, and WHEREAS, the local transportation funds are allocated by ACTIA to jurisdictions bas on a formula weighted 50% by population and 50% by the number of road miles, and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda's share of the local transportation funds is 1.4 % of n revenues and the City's share is projected to be $19,873,750 in 1998 dollars over twenty years, and WHEREAS, the countywide bicycle and pedestrian funds are allocated based on population and the City of Alameda's proportionate share is estimated to $3.5 million over twenty years in 1998 dollars, and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is projected to receive 0.78 percent of net revenues to provide and expand Transbay ferry service from Alameda, projected to be $11,146,405 in 1998 dollars over twenty years, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Alameda authorizes the City Manager to: 1. Execute the Master Program Funding Agreement with the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority for the Measure B 2000 Programmatic Pass - Through Funds — ACTIA AGMT # 2002 -01 2. Execute the Master Program Funding Agreement with the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority for the Measure B 2000 funds for Mass Transit Operators Alameda/Oakland Transbay Ferry Service — ACTIA AGMT # 2001 -09. 3. Execute, in the name of the City, all necessary contracts, agreements, accounting and reporting methods hereto for the purposes of carrying out the City's responsibilities as specified in these agreements.
