AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
OF A WELL PUMP FOR THE GOLF COURSE AND APPROPRIATING
MONEYS FROM THE GOLF COURSE ENTERPRISE ACCOUNT TO
FUND SAID PROJECT
WHEREAS, the pump that operates the well on the Jack
Clark Golf Course recently broke down and in -house personnel were
unable to repair it; and
WHEREAS, representatives from three reliable companies
have evaluated the condition of the existing pump and have
concluded that it is completely worn out and not cost effective
to rebuild; and
WHEREAS, said consultants have agreed that the best way
to resolve the problem is to install a new heavy duty stainless
steel submersible pump at a cost of approximately $18,000; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter said
Council hereby authorizes the purchase of one new heavy duty
stainless steel submersible pump for the Golf Course.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the sum of $18,000 is hereby appropriated from the
Golf Course Enterprise Account to fund said project.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 19th of July, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
