COMMENDING ALAMEDA COUNTY TEACHER OF THE YEAR
PAMELA J. CURTIS
WHEREAS, Pamela J. Curtis was recently named the Alameda
County Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS, Pamela J. Curtis teaches mathematics to eighth
grade students at Lincoln Middle School; and
WHEREAS, she has been teaching at Alameda's Lincoln
Middle School for the past nineteen years and has been a teacher
for twenty-two years; and
WHEREAS, the selection criteria for the Alameda County
Teacher of the Year Award was based on professional development
activities, community involvement, philosophy of teaching,
educational issues and trends and personal teaching style; and
WHEREAS, she was chosen from among eight nominees from
school districts in Alameda County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that said Council is extremely proud of Pamela J.
Curtis and commends her for her selection as the Alameda County
Teacher of the Year. Her award is a tribute to Alameda Unified
School District and a positive reflection on our city.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that-the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned regular
meeting assembled on the 20th of October, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
